Privacy Policy
What we collect
As little as possible. Pickled has no accounts, no sign-up and no advertising, and we do not collect names, email addresses or payment details. Google Analytics is available to understand aggregate usage, but it stays switched off unless you accept it — see below.
How the service works with data
When you load the schedule, our server fetches publicly visible court availability from venue booking systems and relays it to your browser. Standard technical logs (such as IP addresses in server logs) may exist transiently for operating and securing the service.
Analytics and cookies
Analytics is off until you accept it. On your first visit a cookie notice asks; until you choose Accept, no analytics cookie is set and Google is not contacted at all — the Google Analytics script isn't even downloaded. Declining, dismissing the notice, or having JavaScript off all leave analytics switched off.
If you accept, Pickled uses Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate usage — which pages are viewed, and broad details such as approximate location, device type and referring site. This is used only to understand which venues and features are useful; we do not use it for advertising (advertising signals are permanently disabled) and we never sell data. Google Analytics then sets its own cookies (typically _ga) to distinguish visitors.
Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage for a year, and you can change it any time via Cookie settings in the footer — withdrawing switches analytics off immediately and clears the cookies. You can also use your browser's cookie controls, a tracker blocker, or Google's opt-out add-on. Pickled sets no other cookies.
Third parties
When you click through to book, you leave Pickled and the venue's or booking provider's own privacy policy applies (for example Playtomic, CourtReserve, ActiveSG or SAFRA). We recommend reviewing their policies before creating accounts or paying.
Future changes
If accounts or premium features launch later, this policy will be updated first, and any new data collection will be described here before it happens.
